Special Features of the Programmes
Extensive use of participative learning methods such as Group Discussion, Panel Discussion , Case Studies and praxis sessions.
Focus on information sharing through interaction among participants to reinforce cross cultural dimensions.
Balanced approach for imparting training by combining theoretical and practical learning.
Participants are required to prepare a project report on a chosen theme area relating to Human Resource Planning & Development/ Manpower Research/ Human Capabilities. Participants are advised to bring with them relevant data for this purpose. The case studies/project reports are discussed during the group discussion.
possess educational qualifications of reasonably high-level such as bachelor’s degree or its equivalent;
possess relevant work experience;
employed in top/senior/middle level positions in government or a parastatal/ semi-government organization;
possess adequate proficiency in spoken and written English and
be in good health.

Governments of respective countries can sponsor candidates under Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) and Special Commonwealth African Assistance Plan (SCAAP) sponsored by Ministry of External Affairs and under Technical Cooperation Scheme (TCS Colombo Plan) supported by Ministry of Finance, Government. of India.
The number of scholarships is limited for each country. Those interested in nominating officers for the programme may also approach international funding agencies such as ILO, UNDP, Management and Training Services Division (MTSD), Commonwealth Secretariat, World Bank, Asian Development Bank and other organizations. The country governments may also provide funding for the nominees to participate in these programmes. Individuals interested in the aforesaid programmes on self-financing basis and under international funding agencies may write to the Institute directly asking for details about nomination procedures and the training costs.
